Peak to Peak specifications
Specifications for small-diameter wood utilization at Peak to Peak biomass collection sites.
Firewood can be any species. Logs should be kept as long as transportation possible for transportation. Although 8-foot logs can be accepted, 16- and 20-foot, or longer, logs are preferred.
Ends must be cut square, limbs must be cut flush with the bark.
Lodgepole:
Poles and poles.
Logs can not have more than 1-inch taper over 8 feet of length and be very straight, with no obvious defects. Ends must be cut square, and limbs must be cut flush with the bark. There should be no chainsaw scars, nicks or cuts on the stem.

Wood must be sound -- no punky white rot, red rot or blue stain.
Acceptable lenghts are 8-foot 3-inches or 16-feet 6-inches.
