Opening Day – Tuesday, April 14 (Weather Dependant)

The site is located north of Meeker Park on Highway 7, about one-eighth of a mile north of the Boulder/Larimer County line on the east side of the road.

The hours of operation will be:

  • Tuesday- Saturday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Closed Sunday, Monday

Boulder County will operate the site in partnership with Larimer County, and there will be no charge for residents to use the site.  The site is scheduled to stay open through August 15th.

The Meeker Park site will accept any size trees with no diameter limit, although the county prefers logs that are cut in 8, 10 or 12 foot lengths with branches cut flush with the trunk because these can be used for posts and poles. Trees will be processed based on their condition or value for other applications.

Beetle-infested wood will not be accepted during beetle flight (which takes place roughly from mid-July through the end of September).

For more information, visit: www.bouldercounty.org/foresthealth, call Wayne Harrington at 303-678-6368, or email pinebeetle@bouldercounty.org

Note: No other organic materials will be accepted. Do not drop-off any construction materials, root balls, furniture, household trash, or wood with metal wire on it at any transfer station or drop-off site.
